What is a "CCD" on a camera and why is it important to me?
A "CCD" is an imaging device for capturing pictures to video. The better and larger the CCD's, the better your video will look in terms of clarity and color accuracy. Most consumer cameras have only one CCD, while professional cameras have three CCD's. The size of the CCD is also important. Standard consumer cameras usually have one 1/4 inch CCD, and "Prosumer" cameras (such as the Canon XL1) tend to have three 1/3 inch CCDs, while professional cameras have three 1/2 inch or 2/3 inch CCDs.

What type of digital camera do you use?
We use the JVC500 professional broadcast quality digital camera which has three (quantity) 1/2 inch (size) CCD's.

What does "lines of resolution" mean, and how does it affect my video?
The higher the numer of "lines of resolution", the clearer your video will be when recorded. Standard VHS cameras have 240 lines and S-VHS (or Super-VHS) cameras have 400 lines. Something like the Canon XL1 has 525 effective lines of resolution. The camera we use has 750 effective lines of resolution for a stunningly clear picture.

Do you use bright lights that will ruin the ambiance of my event?
No, we believe in low-profile video production. The JVC DV500 camera is .75 LUX in sensitivity - translated that means we would be able to video tape you by candlelight without using additional lighting. If you would like additional lighting, it can be provided for an additional fee. For corporate functions, lighting is usually unnecessary given the high sensitivity of the camera. For film projects and training videos, we use a three-point lighting system to create the texture, mood and color you want to achieve for your project.

What types of payment do you accept?
Cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex. All jobs require a 50% deposit in advance and the balance paid prior to set-up on the day of your event.
